A day out in the park, with Louis CK, Kevin Hart, Eric Stonestreet and the wonderful team of "THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS"

Have you ever wondered what do pets do when you (or the owner, if it's not you) do when you leave. What do they do, when you leave them at home alone, all day, or even days. Well, the writer trio of Brian LynchCinco Paul and Ken Dario wondered about it, and created a story to tell you what it could be. And to be honest, it's sweet, cute, funny and also meaningful in many ways. Directors Chris Renaud and Yarrow Cheney make it a visually stunning, emotionally moving and fun family joy ride.

This wonderful film is the animation movie voice debut of many wonderful actors. You may not expect, but Louis CK is a cute dog, MAX, a Jack Russell Terrier. And he's wonderful. He makes this dog very real. Max is obnoxious, sarcastic, honest-ish and funny, kinda like Louis himself. Max has a great privileged life of a NYC dog, with his owner Katie. He has wonderful friends like Chloe, a sarcastic pet cat (voiced by hilarious Lake Bell), Mel, a over energetic crazy pug (voiced by super funny Bobby Moynihan) and many others. But when Max gets a "new friend" Duke, mongrel, (voiced by the super talented Eric Stonestreet, in his surprisingly amazing voice debut) his world turns upside down. He doesn't like it, and that leads Max and Duke's "day out" and adventure in NYC.

They meet the "flushed pets" and their leader Snowball. Snowball is voiced by Kevin Hart who makes the funniest, craziest badass bunny on screen. Seriously! The fast talking, fast thinking, fast acting, super fast bunny, is more energized than the energizer bunny, thanks to Kevin's performance. Snowball leads these guys into sewers and then to an amazing adventure through the city. However Gidget, a pet Pomeranian, who's in love with Max, sets out ofr his search through city, with help of other pets & new friends. The day just keeps getting better and more fun. There's humor, there's action, there's emotion and there's lot of fun.

The entire team was very excited ot be there and talk about this wonderful film. All the actors expressed there joy for being part of a family movie project, since they usually come from comedy or adult comedy world. As parents (Louis, Kevin, Lake), they were very proud of having something they can show and watch with their kids. They also talked about the difficulties and fun of voice performances aka acting alone in a box. The director Chris Renaud, talked about how to make a wonderful animated film and what inspires him. It was also wonderful listening to the writer trio of how this project took shape. More to come soon...

The Conjuring 2, special screening at Los Angeles Film Festival 2016

Continuing the "tradition" of screening the Conjuring films, the Los Angeles Film Festival had a special screening of the second movie in the franchise, The Conjuring-2, at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The star studded screening was attended by the cast including Patrick Wilson, Vera Fermiga, the producers and the director James Wan. Also in presence were the real family, on who the film is based on.

After a welcome and introduction from Stephanie Allain (president of the LA film festival), the producers brought the director James Wan on stage. He introduced the movie stating how excited he was to return back to his love, horror films (he directed Furious 7 earlier). And how he wanted this movie to be different, but real, inspiring from the last Conjuring film. We also talked to Patrick Wilson he shared his excitement about the film, and his role. A fun fact - He's an East Coater, and our neighbor from Montclair, NJ. He gave his love to us East Coasters!

So, what makes The Conjuring movies more scary, is the fact that they are based on supposedly true stories. It raises the stakes for most people. So we see test after 7 yrs from the first film, Ed and Lorraine Warren, who are almost struggling to continue in their profession. People do not believe them, Lorraine is having demonic visions which are pushing her to stop. But they still want to keep helping people in need.

This leads them to Enfield in London, where a family needs there help. The Church asks them to go investigate, and find out if it's true or a hoax. The house in this family seems possessed, terrorising the 3 kids and their single mother. But it's not sure if is real or made-up by the kid. Or if is just a spirit, or something a lot more dangerous. The stakes get higher and the drama gets bigger!

It's good to see the Ed & Lorraine team back, and they are back in action. There is interesting drama there as well. Both Patrick & Vera give wonderful performances and make their characters believable. Frances O'Connor makes the role of a scared single mother, very beilievable. Madison Wolfe is amazing and the other kids give a brilliant performance. The movie is well cast with good performances.

But the true magic is in direction, camera work and the sound-music. James Wan, returning to the franchise, keeps the movie fresh. It's not your usual jump cuts, jumpy music, shocks, and makeups etc etc. This movie keeps it real. Emotions are strong, camera zooms in & out smoothly, and no sudden loud noises to scare you. Instead, the movie builds its tension through great scenes and amazing scenery. The editing could be little tighter at places, and the first half seems to stretch a little. But for the most part, James has kept the movie moving, building tension and concern for characters, culminating the story to an appropriate climax.

SO... If you are not into horror or scary film, you may stay away from this movie. But if you are into horror and scary films you should definitely watch it!

In theaters June 10, 2016! http://TheConjuring2.com https://www.facebook.com/TheConjuringMovie/ The supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.

UNIVERSAL PICTURES’ THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS CELEBRATES 15TH ANNIVERSARY BY RACING BACK TO THEATERS

Advance Tickets Go on Sale Today for the Film that Started the Phenomenon

Universal Pictures has announced it will re-release The Fast and the Furious in a limited nationwide theatrical run on Wednesday, June 22, to commemorate the film’s 15th anniversary. The Fast and the Furious was released on the same day in summer 2001, igniting one of the most popular global film franchises ever, which has seen its seven films turn into a $3.9 billion box-office phenomenon.  Advance tickets, available at Fandango, are on sale.

Returning to theaters for the first time in a decade and a half, The Fast and the Furious takes audiences back to the streets of East Los Angeles, where they first met the enduring core characters of the Fast saga, played by original cast members Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez.  The seven chapters in the serialized adventures of Dom Toretto and his crew reached their greatest box-office success with last year’s Furious 7, which made more than $1.5 billion around the world.  The eighth chapter is scheduled for release on April 14, 2017.

“All of us who make the Fast and Furious movies know we are part of a family that spreads all around the world,” said series producer Neal H. Moritz, “and we are happy to invite our fans to revisit where it all began back on the big screen.  While we are hard at work making number eight, we are thankful to take this moment and celebrate the original that started us off.”
