COMEDY CENTRAL® ANNOUNCES THE TALENT LINE-UP FOR THE THIRD SEASON OF “THIS IS NOT HAPPENING”

Comedy Central’s raucous storytelling series hosted by Ari Shaffir, “This Is Not Happening,” is back at it again with a killer line-up of the best true-life, long-form storytellers. The third season will feature stories from Sofiya Alexandra, Gastor Almonte, Louie Anderson, Maria Bamford, Greg Behrendt, Lavell Crawford, Joey Diaz, Greg Fitzsimmons, Sean Flannery, Al Jackson, Pete Johansson, Andy Kindler, Bert Kreischer, Joe List, Julian McCullough, Bonnie McFarlane, Big Jay Oakerson, Russell Peters, Brian Regan, Dave Ross, Rory Scovel, Scruncho, Ryan Sickler, Steve Simeone, Doug Stanhope, Dan St. Germain, Nick Thune,Liza Treyger, Sal Vulcano, Andrew W.K. and more!

“This Is Not Happening” is set to film 10 new episodes in front of a live audience at Cheetahs in Hollywood from Sunday, May 22 through Wednesday, May 25 at 7:30pm and 9:30pm each night. The stand-up series is scheduled to premiere fall 2016 on Comedy Central. “This Is Not Happening” originally debuted as a digital series on cc.com which will continue to feature exclusive digital stories throughout the run of the new season this fall.

“This Is Not Happening” is executive produced by Shaffir, Jeff Tomsic, who directs, Eric Abrams, who also serves as Showrunner, and Avalon’s Sam Saifer. Anne Harris and Ryan Moran are the Executives in Charge for Comedy Central.

COMEDY CENTRAL® ORDERS A THIRD SEASON OF “THE MELTDOWN WITH JONAH AND KUMAIL”

Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani’s invitation into LA’s hottest stand-up show still stands as Comedy Central has renewed the hit series “The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail” for a third season, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Original Programming, Comedy Central. The third season will consist of eight episodes and is executive produced by Ray, Nanjiani, live show producer Emily V. Gordon, and Red Hour’s Ben Stiller, Debbie Liebling, Stuart Cornfeld and Mike Rosenstein.

“There continues to be no better way to experience the best, live weekly stand-up show in LA than ‘Meltdown,'” said Alterman. “Except for actually being there, of course.”

“Third time’s a charm!” said Ray, Nanjiani and Gordon.

Shot documentary style at the Nerdist Showroom in the back of Meltdown Comics, Los Angeles’ premiere comic book store, “The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail” captures some of the biggest names in comedy as they experiment with new bits onstage and hang out backstage. The second season, directed by Lance Bangs, featured performances by Andy Daly, Fred Armisen, Kate Berlant, Kurt Braunohler, Hannibal Buress, John Early, Brett Gelman, Abbi Jacobson, Ron Funches, Ilana Glazer, Lauren Lapkus, Natasha Leggero, Al Madrigal, Joe Mande,John Mulaney, Aparna Nancherla, Chelsea Peretti, Paul Sheer, Nick Thune and Hampton Yount, among others.
