COMEDY CENTRAL® ANNOUNCES THE TALENT LINE-UP FOR THE THIRD SEASON OF “THIS IS NOT HAPPENING”

Comedy Central’s raucous storytelling series hosted by Ari Shaffir, “This Is Not Happening,” is back at it again with a killer line-up of the best true-life, long-form storytellers. The third season will feature stories from Sofiya Alexandra, Gastor Almonte, Louie Anderson, Maria Bamford, Greg Behrendt, Lavell Crawford, Joey Diaz, Greg Fitzsimmons, Sean Flannery, Al Jackson, Pete Johansson, Andy Kindler, Bert Kreischer, Joe List, Julian McCullough, Bonnie McFarlane, Big Jay Oakerson, Russell Peters, Brian Regan, Dave Ross, Rory Scovel, Scruncho, Ryan Sickler, Steve Simeone, Doug Stanhope, Dan St. Germain, Nick Thune,Liza Treyger, Sal Vulcano, Andrew W.K. and more!

“This Is Not Happening” is set to film 10 new episodes in front of a live audience at Cheetahs in Hollywood from Sunday, May 22 through Wednesday, May 25 at 7:30pm and 9:30pm each night. The stand-up series is scheduled to premiere fall 2016 on Comedy Central. “This Is Not Happening” originally debuted as a digital series on cc.com which will continue to feature exclusive digital stories throughout the run of the new season this fall.

“This Is Not Happening” is executive produced by Shaffir, Jeff Tomsic, who directs, Eric Abrams, who also serves as Showrunner, and Avalon’s Sam Saifer. Anne Harris and Ryan Moran are the Executives in Charge for Comedy Central.

Possible spoiler: she wears black the whole time. Rachel Feinstein’s first one-hour stand-up special “Amy Schumer Presents Rachel Feinstein: Only Whores Wear Purple” premieres with limited commercial interruption on Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

Filmed in front of a packed New York City audience at Gerald W. Lynch Theater, Feinstein tackles a variety of topics with her blunt humor, including her love of “Christian sleepovers” and the reason why dick pics are unnecessary. Feinstein also demonstrates an incredible talent for embodying memorable characters such as her terrifyingly mature middle school crush, her overbearing mother, her judgmental grandmother and porn star Jenna Jameson.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, Comedy Central Stand-Up and cc.com/Rachel_Feinstein will feature preview clips from the special. Clips from “Only Whores Wear Purple” will also be available in the CC app and the Comedy Central channel on Snapchat Discover. Feinstein is a nationally touring comedian and actress, best known for her ability to morph into various ethnicities and genders. Huffington Post called her “the only comedian we’ve seen who can go from embodying her grandmother in one breath and a predatory guy on the street in the next and be equally convincing at both.” Feinstein has performed stand-up on Comedy Central previously, appearing on “The Half Hour” and “Comedy Central Presents,” and recently shot her own Comedy Central pilot. Recent guest appearances include Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore” and HBO’s “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver,” along with several appearances on “Inside Amy Schumer” and co-hosting “The View.” Feinstein has also lent her voice to Adult Swim’s “Venture Brothers” and the phenomenally successful “Grand Theft Auto” video game franchise. Most recently, Feinstein can be seen in a major recurring role on the Amazon series “Red Oaks,” and she is also set to appear in Judd Apatow’s new pilot for HBO, “Crashing.”
