ANIMATED FEATURE FILM, PIERRE THE PIGEON-HAWK TAKES FLIGHT

Star studded cast includes Nick Cannon, Jennifer Coolidge, Kenan Thompson, E.G. Daily and Whoopi Goldberg

LOS ANGELES (March 12, 2019)  Exodus Film Group announced today they will partner with Nick Cannon and his Ncredible Entertainment banner to produce a full-length animated feature, Pierre The Pigeon-Hawk.  Exodus’ John D. Eraklis is set to direct. Nick Cannon (“Wild ‘n Out”, “The Masked Singer”) will voice the lead character, oversee the music and produce under his Ncredible Entertainment banner with Michael Goldman serving as Executive Producer.  Academy Award Winner Whoopi Goldberg (Ghost, Sister Act, The Lion King) will voice Nick’s mother in the film while Jennifer Coolidge (Best in ShowLegally Blonde) will voice his aunt.  Kenan Thompson (“SNL”, The Grinch) voices Sniff- A hilarious, street-savvy, smooth talking city squirrel and E.G. Daily (“The Rugrats”, The Emoji Movie) is also featured.  The film is being produced and financed by Ciaran Crampton and Chase Muratore of NYC based, Sugar Water Entertainment.  Exodus will provide production services and handling sales. 

Set in NYC, Pierre The Pigeon-Hawk is a musically driven animated comedy that promotes diversity, inclusion, and community.  Born as a product of forbidden love between a hawk and a pigeon…Pierre is rejected by both the pigeon and hawk communities.  Dejected and confused, Pierre sets out on a mission to find out where he belongs.  During his adventure, he unites with a band of unlikely friends including a bear that has recently escaped from the Central Park Zoo, an owl whose genius is outweighed only by his madness, and a pair of rag tag, pop-cultured city squirrels with attitude.  Amidst a journey of self-discovery, Pierre finds the courage to inspire animals from all backgrounds to change their ways and open their minds to a new way of thinking.  It will take a hybrid bird to unite a hybrid world.

Cannon currently hosts and executive produces Fox’s record-breaking series “The Masked Singer,” and made regular appearances on hit comedies including “30 Rock,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Chappelle’s Show,” as well as hosting eight seasons of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” Film credits include Spile Lee’s Chi-Raq, Drumline, Bobby,and Men in Black II, among others.

2016 Triumph Awards Presented by National Action Network & TV One; Hosted by Tichina Arnold (w/ Fantasia, Nick Cannon, JD, Kandi & More)

Reverend Al Sharpton and the National Action Network along with TV One presented the2016 Triumph Awards at the Tabernacle Concert Hall in Atlanta. Hosted by actress and philanthropist Tichina Arnold, the Triumph Awards recognizes distinguished individuals and corporations in civil rights, the arts, entertainment, education, business and sports. The show was taped in front of a live audience and will air Sunday, October 2 at 7PM and 9PM ET on TV One.

Attorney Benjamin Crump was presented the “Chairman’s Award for Historic and Transformative Service” by Clifton Powell (Saints and Sinners); Larenz Tate (House of Lies) presented the “Triumphant Man of the Year” award to Jermaine Dupri; The “Triumphant Woman of the Year” went to FedEx executive Gina F. Adams, who was introduced by legendary singer Dionne Warwick; actor and recording artist DerekFonzworth Bentley” Watkins was on hand to present the “President’s Award for Service and Humanitarian Efforts” to Sean “Diddy” Combs (who was not in attendance);  Tim Murphy of Mastercard accepted the honor of “Corporate Partner of the Year Award;” and the final award of the evening was the “Activism in the Arts Award” presented to Spike Lee by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Vietta Johnson, President of Spelman College Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell and actress Teyonah Parris.

Performers included gospel artist Jekalyn Carr, V. Bozeman, Nick Cannon, BJ the Chicago Kid, the James Brown Academy of Music Pupils, Joe, Eric Benet, Juan and Deborah Joy Winans, and FantasiaTichina ArnoldJB SmooveCarl PayneErica Ash and Teyonah Parris also joined forces to perform a “Spike Lee Joint Medley,” a hilarious musical tribute.

Additional appearances by Marc Lamont Hill, Dondre Whitfield, Kandi Burruss, Terri J. Vaughn, Pooch Hall, Denise Boutte, Ebony Steele, Angel McCoughtry; the “Mothers of the Movement;” Gwen Carr (mother of Eric Garner), Lesley McSpadden (mother of Mike Brown) andSybrina Fulton (mother of Trayvon Martin); and Georgia State House Representative Erica Thomas.

The 2016 Triumph Awards are produced by Bart Phillips of Sunseeker Entertainment. Eric Tomosunas and Keith Neal serve as Executive Producer for Swirl Films.
